Tarot Academy
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Tarot Academy is a 2D Turn-based Tarot Card Battle Game. This game is designed for 2 players. This game could be played both in physical deck and on digital side.
In this game, we made a lot of changes from the Original Waite Tarot cards, and designed our own deck, as well as the whole new battle rules. Each player chooses from the two characters, either the Sun or the Moon, as their profile, and begins battle by randomly drawing 5 minor Arcana from the deck. In our game, the two players against each other need to solve the restrain cycle between different elements and calculate their hand points in order to find the right strategy to attack their opponents.

Good Game! I like all the art, the cards look so good, it looks wicked.
I really love the conceptualization behind this game. I think it was very ambitious to attempt to create a card game from scratch with brand new mechanics involving many systems. I love the art on all the cards as well as how you based the systems in the world of Tarot you that are attempting to capture. The documentation is also wonderfully thorough.
Tarot Academy was really enjoyable to play, I played with my brother and we had a good time! I want to print out the cards and play physically next time. I liked the music and title screens, it adds a fun element that I wasn't expecting because when I think of tarot cards a moodier vibe comes to mind - but what you guys chose fit the game very well and was upbeat. The visuals are beautiful on the cards as well. A small note but an escape button/menu would be helpful, and making the How To Play text a bit larger would help for readability (although that might be a bug on my end)
I enjoyed this game. It was fun to see the process of you making it. I never understood the source material it is based on, so it took me a moment to realize which type was more powerful against what. The tutorial did a good job however. The art is amazing, and all of aesthetic design is done perfectly (the music really adds an element). You all did great work.
This game definitely has really nice art and UI concepts. I like how you can play this game both digitally and physically. It really adds to the fact that covid prevents us from going out and playing with our friends. The art concept for these cards really stands out and they definitely look a lot different from what normal tarot cards look like. The music is a good choice, it makes the game super exciting to play
